Set on a very small plot near the new port of Larnaca, the challenge was to design a six-story building with nine apartments, each benefiting from a direct view toward the main road. The building draws inspiration from its industrial surroundings, expressed through fair-faced concrete walls and black metal beams that frame the balconies. Its south-facing façade is defined by movable photovoltaic panels, a key design feature. By placing the panels on the façade rather than on the roof gardens, the project achieves multiple goals: generating renewable energy, providing natural shading, and freeing the rooftop spaces for the exclusive use of residents. This dual-function solution merges sustainability with lifestyle, turning a technical requirement into both an architectural expression and a commercial advantage.
